Visiting us
Where is Nanking Group located?
C&B More, Moni Bazar, Rajpara, Rajshahi 6000, Bangladesh. Every division operates from this address, apart from the Nanking Beauty Center in Khulna and the Rifle Club Nanking Convention Hall at the Rajshahi Rifle Club.
What are the restaurant’s opening hours?
Lunch is served 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm and dinner 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, daily.
Is parking available?
Yes. Nanking Darbar Hall has plenty of space for car parking.
How long has Nanking been open?
Since 1981. Nanking Group of Companies is owned and run by one family and now operates eight divisions across Rajshahi and Khulna.
The restaurant
What kind of food do you serve?
Chinese, Thai, Sze-Chuan, Indonasian and South Indian, plus kabab and nan and the house speciality, Nanking Special Kalai Ruti. The card runs to 162 dishes across seventeen sections — all of it on the menu page.
Are your prices published?
Yes. The full restaurant menu and the beauty centre’s 156 service charges are published on this website, taken from our own printed menu cards and service-charge boards. Prices may change from time to time, so please confirm at the counter.
Do you have vegetarian dishes?
Yes — a nine-item vegetarian section, and vegetable dishes in the Thai, Sze-Chuan and Indonasian sections as well.
Has the restaurant been recognised?
Nanking Chinese Restaurant has achieved the “Recommended on TripAdvisor” sticker, which is given to the top 3+ rated restaurants worldwide.
Events and halls
What can I hold at Nanking Darbar Hall?
Weddings, gaye holud, bou-bhat and other social programmes, seminars, conferences and meetings. There is the main hall, a dining floor, a conference room and a group meeting room, with no pillars in the hall or the conference room.
How many guests does the hall hold?
The hall has a stage and theatre seating for 350. The dining floor seats 225; for a wedding, 225 can dine while 100 more are seated. The conference room seats 100 and the group meeting room 16.
Is catering included?
Food is ordered per guest from the hall menus: wedding menus from ৳725 to ৳950 and seminar menus from ৳750 to ৳1,050, all listed on the Darbar Hall page. Cooking and stage decoration are done by Nanking’s own people only.
Is audio-visual equipment included?
It is charged separately: a multimedia projector is ৳2,500, a sound system ৳2,000 and extra stage or TV-camera lighting ৳2,000.
How do I book?
Call the manager on 01711-860236 with your date, guest count and menu. A booking is confirmed with an advance payment and a signed agreement, and the venue charge is not refundable. There is a full walk-through in our guide to booking the Darbar Hall.
Nanking Bazar
Do you deliver?
Yes — free home delivery. Call +88 01939 555 000 with your list. Delivery area and cut-off times are best confirmed when you place your first order.
What does the bazar sell?
Fresh produce, grocery and daily needs such as rice, oil, pulses and spices, and a full cosmetics and personal-care collection. Everything is on open shelves, clearly priced.
Beauty Center & Men’s Care
Do I need an appointment?
For bridal and party packages, yes — they fill early in the season, so call ahead. For everyday services, call the same number to check the day’s availability.
Is there a branch outside Rajshahi?
Yes — a second Nanking Beauty Center in Khulna, to the same standard.
Is Men’s Care air conditioned?
Yes. Nanking Men’s Care is an air-conditioned gents saloon on the Nanking floor. Walk-ins are welcome; on a busy day it is worth calling ahead.
